Mondays | AA Meeting | 7 p.m.* Big Book Step Study Meeting – open to all
Tuesdays | Tai Chi for adults | 10 a.m.*
Taught by certified instructor Marcia Wyman, the class covers basic tai chi movements for balance, flexibility, strength, and mental concentration. Marcia teaches a modified Yang form that is easy and safe for everyone. There will be no class August 27 and September 3. Email Marcia for more information.
Tuesdays | Mah Jongg | 1 – 4 p.m.*

Tuesdays | Karate | 4:45 – 8 p.m.*
Three levels of classes are offered through Tiger Mountain Shokotan Karate School with Sensei Gayle Fleming and her team of instructors. Email Gayle for more information.
Wednesdays | Yoga with Coleen | 6 p.m.*
This class challenges us through movement of breath, with energy and vitality! Good for all levels. The class is currently on summer break. Email Coleen for more information.
Sunday, September 8 | Wilmotpalooza | all day – various locations
Starting with a pancake breakfast at the WCA Red Barn, moving on to a WVFD and DHART demo, games for kids, Best Dog in Town Contest, cookout lunch, and a great noontime concert on the bandstand … the list of fun events and interesting activities never ends!
Saturday, September 14 | Build a Scarecrow Workshop| 1 p.m.*
Every fall, the Wilmot population skyrockets with an invasion of fabulous scarecrows. Why not join the fun! This workshop will help you build your own scarecrow. The WCA will supply the frames and stuffing. You bring clothing and a head for your scarecrow! Space is limited so email the WCA to reserve a spot.
Sunday, September 29 | SkyWatch | 7 p.m. – Davis Home on Kearsarge Mt. Road
New Hampshire Astronomical Society is coming to Wilmot for an evening of stargazing. It promises to be enjoyable and educational experience for all ages. Dress warmly. Telescopes welcome.
Sunday, October 1 | The Tenth Annual Scarecrow Contest begins! |
Join the fun and build a fun, fanciful, sporty, scary, beautiful … or silly scarecrow(s).The Wilmot Garden Club cosponsors the contest and the deadline for entries is noon on Wednesday, October 23. Lots of great prizes will be awarded so don’t miss out.
Saturday, October 5 | Saturday Night Fever – Dance Party| 7 p.m.*
The Sock Hop in June was such a success that we’re having another dance party at the Red Barn. This time it’s Saturday Night Fever with ’80’s disco music. Costumes encouraged. Free and open to all. BYOB.
Thursday, October 10 |Flu Clinic with Lake Sunapee VNA & Hospice | 5-7 p.m.*
Thanks to the Lake Sunapee VNA and Hospice, flu shots will be available for anyone 19+ years of age at the WCA Red Barn. Please bring your insurance ID card(s). If paying with cash or check, the cost is $35 for the regular dose and $80 for the high dose (recommended for persons 65+ years of age). Questions? Call the LSVNA 603.526.4077.
Thursday, October 17 | Kearsarge Area Senior Luncheon | 11:30 a.m.*
Hosted by the WCA, the Wilmot Ladies Aid Society, Kearsarge Area Council On Aging (COA), and the Community Action Program of Belknap and Merrimack counties, a Senior Luncheon is a terrific opportunity to spend time with friends while enjoying a yummy meal and live entertainment. Reservations required, to reserve call COA at 526 6368.
Thursday, October 31 | Halloween Fun at the WCA | 5-7 p.m. *
Halloween wouldn’t be Halloween without a trip to the Spooktacular Red Barn. The young and young-at-heart will want to join in. The decorations will be grand and the candy, cookies, cider and other goodies sinfully delicious. Kids of all ages are welcome to stop by the Red Barn for games and treats. Free and open to all.
Thursday, November 7 | Thursday’s Child | starting at 5:30 p.m.
Join the WCA and Wilmot Learning Place for this annual fundraising dinner at the Coach House Restaurant at the New London Inn. You don’t want to miss out on the delicious fun so book a table with friends and family. To make a reservation, call the Inn at 526-2791 or book on line.
Saturday, December 7 | Holiday Craft Fair| 9 a.m.-p.m.
Get your holiday shopping done and stock up on homemade cookies at the WCA’s annual Holiday Craft Fair at the New London Outing Club Indoor Center, 114 Cougar Court in New London. More than 50 crafters will be selling their handmade wares. As always the Wilmot Ladies Aid Society will hold their Famous Cookie Walk. Rachel’s Café will offer food and beverages throughout the day. Admission is free.
Sunday, December 8 | Santa Comes to Wilmot| 1-2 p.m.*
Once again Santa is dropping everything to visit the children of Wilmot. He’ll be stopping by the WCA Red Barn for pictures and wish lists. Children can visit with Santa and share their list. John Swindell will take complimentary photographs of each family or child with the jolly old elf. There will also be a special holiday craft project for children and cookies and cocoa for all.
