7:00 pm 2017.10.12 - Tick & Lyme Disease Talk

Alan Eaton, entomologist with UNH Cooperative Extension, will give a talk on tick biology, the human diseases they spread here, and how to minimize the chances of becoming a victim.

Dr. Eaton has  been coordinating Cooperative Extension’s Integrated Pest Management program since 1978. Their work strives to teach people (especially commercial agriculture audiences) how to MANAGE pest problems, instead of just throwing chemicals at them.

His tick work began about 1989.  It was clear that tick problems were increasing and there were no publications available to answer questions.

For tick-related publications, maps and videos visit https://extension.unh.edu/Information-ticks-and-tick-borne-diseases.
