The Wilmot population got a bit of a bump in October. Scarecrows began to appear on front lawns and porches throughout the town. The WCA and Wilmot Garden Club once again delighted to host their annual Scarecrow Contest.

Amy and Mara Gignac’s Corpse Bride was a definite kids’ favorite from our younger judges as well as the winner of the Scariest Award.

Tom Jenssen didn’t have to wait long for something to happen with his Fishing for Snow entry. (A wet icy snow fell a few days after the judging. Snow on October 27 is hardly a record but good news for skiers.) Tom won the Sportiest Award.

Most Creative went to Man Treed by a Bear from Keith Seamans. Word has it that traffic on Campground Road has increased significantly since Keith’s creation went up.

Although, everyone might have been looking at Rachel‘s Pumpkin Family. She wins the Family Award.

The kids at the Wilmot Learning Place shared two of their favorite stories. They won the Fairy Tale Award for Cinderella and the Keystone Cops.

Allie Beck’s Guardians at the Gate provided a spooktacular welcome to visitors. She receives the Most Welcoming? Award.
