Seventeen local artists will participate in the WCA fourth annual Imagination into Art on June 24 and 25. The show will take place at the WCA’s Red Barn. There will be a reception from 5 to 7 p.m. on Friday, June 24. Artists will exhibit completed works as well as demonstrate their skills and techniques during the reception. The exhibit and sale will from 9 a.m. to noon on Saturday, June 25.
Wilmot artists who will show their work include: Mark Beerman, Dana Dakin, Sue Finney, Zack Jonas, Connie Jordan, Ann Feeley Kieffer, John Monto, Dorothy Prats, Nancy Schlosser, Rette Solomon, Leslie Ward, Lisa Whitcher, Helen Wickham and Sam Wild. Jay Koron of Andover, Grace Schust of Danbury and Marilyn Wendling of New London will also participate in the show and sale.
Several artists have donated works for a silent auction which will be held on Friday evening.
“We are pleased to host a show that features so many of our very talented local artists,” said Judy Hauck, WCA board member and organizer of Imagination into Art. “The works include beautiful handmade quilts, pottery, sculpture, metalwork, photographs, jewelry and paintings in several media.”
Wine and hors d’oeuvres will be served at the Friday evening reception. A $15 donation per person is suggested.
