The WCA’s Timothy Patten Park is looking spiffy and ready for fun. A fantastic crew of volunteers spent the morning of Saturday, April 29 hard at work. The beach and playground have been raked and the docks are out.
The WCA is grateful to the small but hardy group of volunteers who gave up their morning to get the playground and beach ready for summer. A huge thank you goes out to Rachel Seamans who organized the cleanup event.“It was a great morning.” said Rachel, “The black flies were still asleep but the sun was out.” She was ably assisted by family and friends, including:
Justin Ferren
Darlene Hoyt
Mindy Miller
Matthew Seamans and
David Zuger.
The WCA is always happy to help local high school and middle school students earn their community hours. Kearsarge Regional High School students
Carla Hoyt, and Lela Henskens
joined the crew.
The smallest helper was Rachel’s grandson Ryan.
Additional thanks go out to the Town of Wilmot for sweeping out the parking lot and to Tom and Arthur Miller from C.A. Miller Plumbing for getting the water turned on and restrooms ready.
Timothy Patten Park is open to WCA members and their guests and Wilmot residents.
