More than a dozen local artists will participate in the WCA’s fifth annual Imagination into Art on June 23 and 24 at the WCA’s Red Barn, 64 Village Road in Wilmot.

Painters and watercolorists Sue Finney, Penny Koberger, Molly and Corbett Leith, Holly Noyes, Grace Schust and Leslie Ward will show their work. Fine crafts will be exhibited by fabric artist Lynne Raleigh, quilter Nancy Schlosser and furniture maker Jay Aubertin. Ann Feeley Kieffer will show her sculpture and Paul Linehan his ink drawings. Photographers Vlad Chertikhin and Leslie Tuttle will round out the show. All of the artists and artisans will be on hand to answer questions and discuss their work.

The art exhibit and sale will open with a reception from 4:30 to 7 p.m. on Friday, June 23. Wine and hors d’oeuvres will be served and a $15 donation per person is suggested. During the reception artists will exhibit completed works and demonstrate their skills and techniques.

Imagination into Art will continue from 9 a.m. to noon, Saturday, June 24. Families are encouraged to participate on Saturday morning and there will be workshops for children. The Saturday morning exhibit and workshops are free and open to all.

Some artists have donated works for a silent auction to benefit the WCA. Bidding will begin on Friday evening and end at noon on Saturday.

“We are pleased to host a show that features so many of our very talented local artists,” said Nancy Schlosser, quilter and organizer of Imagination into Art. “The works include beautiful pottery, sculpture, photographs, and paintings.”
